Ahem. welcome. to hippohonk.com, where a team of well seasoned concert-goers look at lineups to major music festivals, listen to as many bands as they can on that lineup, and then rate the bands based on how badly they would like to go see their show (as if that wasn't obvious from the website name). While they realize this endeavor is slightly subjective and a tad narcissistic, they also realize that they have the best taste in music and are awesome, so...
The system is simple, they listen to a few songs using whatever (generally cruddy) website the band has chosen to post their music, then they rate the band from 1 to 5: 5's the best, 1's the worst. Then they average their ratings, and put them on this amazing site for you to peruse.
So, if you're planning on going to any of these festivals, this is a great place to start. While we're getting things set up, feel free to social media the crap out of us or stalk us in our houses the old fashioned way (wait don't do that). Whatever you choose, just be ready to rock with us when the time comes.
